Can You Keep Up?

Can You Keep Up....Can I Keep UP?

I had this new idea to start posting my reviews of places I travel or experience.
Family Trip May 15-20, 2011

Arrived at our hotel we booked w/Travelocity. Best Western 4th floor on Jamaican Ct. off of I-Drive. $56ish a night w/Travelocity. Pool was nice. Not overchlorinated. And not overcrowded. Very friendly staff. Note:recently renovated. Great location!

Arrived in Orlando and ate lunch on International Dr. @ Mei Asian Buffet.
Not very impressed. We love Chinese Buffets, but the food was eh...and the price for us 2 adults and 1 child was about $45. AHH! Craziness!

Monday-Went and ate @ the Ponderosa Buffet on I-Drive. There are 2 of these on I-Drive, & I recommend either one. 3.99-4.99 for a buffet n 2.99 for kids. Can't beat it! We ate here every morning! WINNER

Next thing was Universal Studios, Orlando, FL. I remember visiting this park as a kid and had a blast. Seems like the park has been a little pushed to the side for the upgrades of Islands of Adventure. Boo on that note.
Memories of my childhood did surface with Jaws & E.T.:) for that. Great picture spots.

Wish we'd have done Discovery Cove instead.
ON the other hand...that would be the right of course....
The kiddo's will def love this...they have play parks!
If you love old school TV...I love Lucy...for example...you'll be able to see and grab some cool stuff.
THE BEST THING ABOUT UNIVERSAL! the
Animal Actor Show! YES YES YES! WE really loved this! Applause!

That night we walked right across the street to UNO's. Great place to eat! I had Gluten free pizza! YES! recommend recommend. In fact, our room card was a coupon.PLUS PLUS.

Next we went to Ripley's. Natalie LOVED it. It was also across from our hotel. BINGO! Tons of laughs and LOOKs here.

Tuesday-Islands of Adventure!
Yes, you can tell it's newer. More rides more more more.
Sorry...no pics here.

Wednesday-SEA WORLD!
Okay. My turn. I rode the Manta rollercoaster! WOAH ! TOO GOOD! I was impressed. The wait wasn't too bad. The park provides a few aquarium views along the way:)

One Ocean (the "big"show) just opened this May. It started....I cried. Yeah Yeah. I was moved. Majestic and drew me into the deep. I wanted to dive in!
 WHOA!
Then we saw another show @ the Nautilus Stadium. It was wow also! Very Impressed with SW.

Natalie with the main characters. BUT take note. Every character had a BIG part! OOOO AHHH WORTH IT!!!!
We weren't sure about our seats...but during the show the dancers and acrobats came right down to us! Natalie even got to pet the dragon!

We encountered sharks, manatees, dolphins, whales, polar bears, sea lions, and sea turtles....got to feed sting rays and pet them, too! Beautiful! SW you made me want to swin w/ dolphins.
Discovery Cove called our names...but we had to just give it up this trip. Next time Flipper;)
Supper @ Rain Forest Cafe Downtown Disney.
Chef came out and specially designed a gluten free meal just for me. Great Salmon!

Thursday-"What are we going to do?"
1st-Walked around Downtown Disney. THEN took an adventure.
I decided to look for a natural spring near Orlando. Wekiwa Springs! YES! Got there and saw a big swimmin' hole...but then my husband decided...let's canoe! YAY!
16.99 for 2hours. we took our first family canoe adventure. We saw no gators. Did see fish, turtles, birds, and some clear clear water;) Loved doin' this..and got inspired to canoe more often.
Apopka, Fl you got it goin' on w/ your FL state park Wekiwa Springs!!!! GO THERE NOW!
Alrighty...that's all for now!
wonder where we'll go next:)
